Approach
Philosophy & style of therapy
I use an integrative approach to counselling. This means I work with you to meet you where you’re at and adapt my style accordingly. I use non-pathologising frameworks and am deeply informed by philosophy, social justice activism and critical theory. Central to my style of counselling is affirming the inherent dignity, choice and safety of every person.
I am trained in various evidence-informed approaches including Narrative Therapy, Response-Based Practice, Internal Family Systems, and Existential models. These approaches allow me to be reflexive to the unique skills, knowledges and acts of resistance of each person.
You can find useful links to information about some of these approaches below:

Life transitions and crises, periods of ‘big change’
Grief, loss
Gender

Spirituality (particularly ‘ex-vangelicals’, deconstruction and marginalised faith groups)
Relationships
Relationship with food and your body (Health At Every Size and anti-fatphobia)
Please contact me and we can discuss my experience and capacity if you’re wanting to address a concern I have not listed.
